mines covered with grease so im not sure but i think the block is black, the heads, fan and pulleys are yellow, and the intake and valve covers are blue but since its all covered with black grease i just picked black

Target master block from GM came black, at least it was a few years ago. Now it is black, brown from bog and covered in oil and sludge. I said it before my rig is like a tea bag.

I was totally stoked the day I walked in Advance and saw official Detroit Diesel Alpine Green. Thats what I painted my SM465 with and one day when I build a new 350 for my 90 K5 I will paint it that color too.
When I worked for Detroit Diesel we had to keep a couple cans of Caterpillar yellow because some old heavy equipment used Detroit Diesels and were painted Caterpillar yellow.
I like Cat motors but there was something disgraceful about painting an old two cycle Detroit with official caterpillar yellow paint.

no. the machine shop painted my motor black for me. i was going to paint it bright yellow cuz i thought it would look cool with my truck - which will be black. but then i figured it'd be dirty all the time and wouldn't look cool. so, i was going to paint it black, but the machine shop pleasantly surprised me. 
i get it back from them next week!!

Actually no, its not mine. Its sitting in the drag car we are building at the shop.
Two of mine will be purple though. Not that blingy though. Just OSHA purple. Its Coonie's racing engines color. Since he's building my Caddy motors I'm gona let him paint them his colors.
I don't have a SBC in anything anymore. My kids pickup has a SBC but I couldn't tell you what color it is. I think blue.
