They weren't my arms that did it. A good friend of mine Fred (FWP) is the one with the bad arms. Stephens own set it doing the same thing he said.

Paul, the interference I'm talking about is with High steer and the diff moved forward 1.5". As the front end cycles the tie-rod and drag link can hit each other. The Redneck Ram (cool product) does nothing to correct this possible problem.

I do draglinks and tie rods, I'm just currently not set up to do bent ones. PM me the size (thickness) your looking for, and I'll hit you back with a price. If you don't get over to the island, I have to make a trip in that direction in the near future, or I can ship them with danfoss or somthing.

Yeah, that would be a purely hydraulic steering set-up which isn't street legal. It would solve the bind issue, but I drive my K5 almost daily...
The redneck Ram is a hydraulic assist which is different. The drag link and Tie-rod remains and the ram helps push or pull the tie-rod one way or the other...but you still have a mechanical connection to the steering box.

I have Skys stuff. I like it. Good quality parts.
I used to have rockstomper... now I have WFO. Personally, I like the WFO double arms. As was mentioned previously, this gives you a lot of flexibility. You can run normal low x-over or behind-the-diff x-over at your discretion. Who knows what the next few years/mods will hold for your rig... why not go with the arms that give ya the most options.

In my opinion, I would stay away from high steer, unless you are in the rocks alot or any thing that you need this on, it's a real pain in the ass. Since you are going to run the flexy front spring, as others have said, it's very hard to get the high steer without hitting the spring pack, ask me how I know?? /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Besides, it's my opinion that the high steer increases the chance of Death Wobble, the tie rod is not doing as good of a job, in my opinion.
The WFO or SKY stuff is really nice, thought about it for my stuff.
Whatever you do, DO NOT USE HEIM JOINTS, they are not worth a #hit on flexy rigs, again ask me how I know /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

Sorry for the hijack Rene... But the Stage 2 WTO kit is not full on Hydro steering. It is still only hydro assist and is the same as stage 1 but they rebuild you steering box.... Full hydro steering would eliminate the factory steering box all together in favor of an orbital valve.
On topic: Just a suggestion, but some arms that are available dont have the degree built in for the ackerman angle.. I have read alot that this issue is important. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif Some more companies that haven't been mentioned for arms: OTT, Rockstomper, BTF..... /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

The majority of the arms out there are mild steel...so apples to apples this should be a problem with more than one brand of arm.
