6" Skyjacker springs (no B52's, etc.) on 1" zero rates and ORD HD shackles.

I'm guessing 4 degrees would be safe and acceptable to use on the front but what about the rear?

Truck is a K30 with 6" front and rear springs with 1" zero rates on all four. Axles have not been moved forward or back.

And then a different truck coming in with a short wheelbase and wanting to run 8" front springs with 6" rear springs and 2.5" ORD shackle flip. Both springs also on zero rates.

I'm guessing 6 degree shims on front and 4 on rear?

There is no one answer for any lift. If you have an angle finder check your caster and see what you can get away with. Too much shim and it'll start to affect steering. I think I have a 4 degree up front with my 52s.

In the rear you need to measure angles as well at the pinion and t-case output to get the correct geometry.

Don't forget you'll need a third shim up front for the pass side spring plate.

How long are your shackles up front?

I'm aware of the 3rd shim for D60 fronts.

That's the thing I'm not trying to run 52's or 56's. Just standard length GM front 6" springs.

Just figured someone may have a general idea of a good ballpark average for degree taper to run with that amount of lift, zero rate and the extra 1/2" length to the ORD shackle.

I'm running a 5* with roughly a 4-5" lift with ord springs up front and there shackle.

My buddy made the shims for me. Works fine. I'm sure a 4 degree would be fine.

I'm running a 4* from Kert in the rear with stock 52s and a shackle flip with 6" shackle.

I havnt ran it yet, but the angle looks 100% better than before. It was pointing way too high.

I would cut the degree in the zero rate if you can. I think it's the bee's knees over running a shim. My fronts are cut @ 5* with 4" springs IIRC

That's the plan. And I've done this before with JKW Offroad. Got him to make the thinnest part of the block at 1" so its a true inch zero rate.

Kert at diy4x made me a 4* shim with an extra 0.5" on it, FYI. I'm sure he could make a 1" too if that's what you're after.

All the good shims bolt to the pack though, so this is only if you want the extra lift.
