What did i get myself into!

Ok I just finally got what you were saying in the original post, Doesn't that damage the rocker pannels though? I'm just going to use this as a back-up plan though. My old physics teacher who helps me out with stuff has a full blown shop at his house and he offered to help me do it. He has a tranny jack just sitting in the garage waiting to be used.

I just saw on trucks today that they had to diagnose a coolant leak too. They added dye into the fluid and then ran it around for a while then when they got it back into the garage he just shined a UV light (he just had a little LED flashlight) and it would glow wherever it leaked out with the dye. Good luck!

Those are the only 2 things i can think of. I couldnt tell when my tranny was off. Im gonna go get some barsleak and alumiseal and try that.

Find where it's leaking before you do that that **** plugs up stuff it ain't suppose to better than anything

Looks great. After hearing about all the stuff you got done, I guess I should stop bitchin and get my rig put together....:)

Faught a fuel leak along with the coolant leak today. Got the carb running good enough for the time being with my beginner knowledge on carbs. Got to go get steel tomorrow to build my front shaft so hopefully i can do a test run this weekend.

All in all, im very happy with it and super stoked on how fast it came together.

where did you get the driveshaft? Looks pretty good.

Drive Train of Mesquite. They have now done 2 shafts for me. This one isnt even balanced because their balancer was down and i needed it done within 55 min of them closing. I didnt even feel any vibration. Great guys and great prices. 972-285-5179 is their #.
