In my shop. Doing stuff.
I'll start.

Right front inner shaft. Do not know when. Heard it clunking diving straight on flat ground.:dunno:

Three days of good wheeling let's me put it on the trailer with no regrets.

A couple of bolts. . . . . .. . .. . . . . .. course they were holding my driveshaft on, alternator.

454, headlights, cb, tail lights, brake lights, front locker, hydro assist vs pumpkin, alternator, and driveshaft....

Did I miss anything that Andrew and myself worked on this week? Haha!

Not so far but I didn't actually break all that stuff :eek1:

It just wasn't working yet :D

And yes you missed the trailer lights for the trailer

Better update my carnage report...

Front driveshaft separated going up Chewy on Prichette twisting the slip splines. When it separated, the shock of unloading piled up the planetary set in my transfer case. No case damage, but it makes bad sounds in 4wd now.

Parked the truck at the hotel while we went to Potato Salad and it wouldn't start when we got back to it, got a boost and carried on. Stopped at the camp ground in slick rock to take a shower and the truck wouldn't re-start. Boosting it didn't help, looks like the starter gave up the ghost.

Winched it up onto the trailer and will be departing on the 1800 mile trip back home at first light. Gonna make a stop in Ogden to get my front driveshaft replaced with a longer slip version and make for the Canadian border before the crossing closes at 11pm. If we make it across, we'll finish the drive in one long haul, if not we will stop for the night in Montana and finish the drive the next day.

You have a 241 with an SYE right? It will be interesting to see what's wrong.

How did Pritchett treat you?

Frame at steering gear box, and blew a bead on one tire!!! All in all good time though

Broke my winning streak on the rocker knocker and the rockpile. Never had to winch on those before but I wasn't willing to take the risk necessary with the UA truck. But it was cool rolling up the windows and turning on the AC at the end and driving a comfortable truck home on the interstate late at night.

Mechanically everything in the ORD stable came back OK. My brother seems to have bent the racer some but I can't say much about that:whistle::whistle::whistle:

Pritchett was hard on our group:
scout guy lost something on the front driveshaft and turned around (flange maybe)
Dave Godzak (storm trooper) broke a 30 spl stub on the hill below the rockpile
Juanblazer broke a stub (I think) on the rockpile
Brent (reddog) broke a hub on the rockpile

I guess that's it, seemed like a lot there at the end.

With some investigation, it appears to be a stretched chain in the transfer case. There is Lots of slop in the front output in both 4hi and 4low which indicates the planetary set is probably ok. Dropped my driveshafts off at Tom Woods here in Ogden to get them modified to work a bit better for me. I forgot my spare tire on Eric's trailer and his hitch for said trailer in the box of my truck... I'm waiting for them to catch up and will continue on up to the border after we trade.

Pritchette was tons of fun, but it was a bit more than I was willing to be running my Tahoe through. Next year I may bring the K5 down instead as it will be caged and the body is already beat. Won't mind body damage or a roll quite so much as in the pretty wheeler, haha!

I busted a sector shaft on Steel Bender (I was on the dirt road in 2 wheel drive). Luckily, Juan had a spare shaft back at camp, and had me going in no time :waytogo:

Pritchett was really hard on or group!!

I was lucky to make it out intacked....some good spoting (thanks Stephen) and a tow strap helped:D

I also forgot (getting old sucks) the fairlead I destroyed on Fins at night. Lawn darted the truck off a ledge. Missed the trail by 10 feet.
