What did you guys pay for D60 front?

When I get my D60 from boyce I'll end up paying:
Rebuilt GM Dana 60 Front Axle ** $ 2,375.00
5.13 Ring&Pinion $ 285.00
ARB Air Locker $ 755.00
ARB Compresser $ 248.00
Warn Premium Hubs $ 249.00

So that adds up too... ummm... $6,287. Ouch I just added it for the first time, would that be a good deal with all the parts installed and the axle rebuilt and painted?

I added it up again using .00 after every whole number and got 3912, my bad. Calculators are confusing. So thats not to bad of a price for all that? Thanks for the replies, and sorry for the hi-jack.

Paid 620 for mine off ebay. Plus 220 to ship from New York to Phoenix. But when you consider the cost of gears, arb locker, all new bearings, 35 spline upgrade I don't even want to think about how much I've got in the thing.

I have about $1500 in my D60. That includes complete rebuild, gear swap, Powerlock, Warn Premiums, and a few other things.

50.....yeah 50 bones /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif.... for a Dana 60/14 bolt. the D60 was rebuilt. /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

$600
i bought mine from ringmaster4x4. and if it's the one he bought for $50 he made off like a bandit. /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif

nope. I had bought a truck with a 6.2 diesel for 50 and trade for the D60 and 14 bolt. they under my truck. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

I got my D60 for $200 and conned someone else into paying for it in trade for my 3/4 ton 10 bolt with 4.88's /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

picked mine up with some 4 inch springs and a long input np205. for free.
put 200 into the 60 so far with another 600 waiting to go into it.

The one in my truck was free, I got a complete truck with it /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif I've got close to $500 in it with bearings, seals and brakes. Picked up another complete running truck for $750 /forums/images/graemlins/grind.gif

I was serously consittering buying a D60 from http://www.boyceequipment.com/ when you consitter how much to buy a used D60, and then rebuild it, not to mention maybe a gear swap. The cost can really add up. /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif

I don't see any want, or need, to rebuild a perfectly good Dana 60. In fact, I think that many of the people that rebuild it are wasting good parts.

If/when I find worn parts or want to change ratios, I will do so. Until then, I'm leaving it.

D60 + ff14b was 1k. Of course, I regeared, re-hubbed, and locked them both... none of that was needed to run them, I just wanted the stuff. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It's called peace of mind. I'd rather spend a little money to rebuild my axles (like I did) and KNOW that they have been gone through and are in rock solid shape, than wonder when/if they will break when I'm out in the boonies cause I chose to not go through them.

Cheap insurance IMHO.

i bought a 79gmc 1ton for parts.. ran.. had 4" susp lift 3" body lift, 38's and a d60 front.. i paid $500 for full truck..sold my d44 and the 14 bolt for $250.. thus paying $250 for front d60, rollbar, front tube bumper, kc's, dual tanks, headers, new radiator, etc.... not bad... /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
