What diff cover is stronger?

Not that its much of an indication of strength against blunt force trauma ( trying to smash your diff cover to death on pointy rocks ) but the Great Lakes cover survived bullets fired from multiple weapons and is actually "bullet proof". other than that i have a buddy who's got the ruffstuff cover and its definately a quality product . . . . . .hasnt been shot at though. . . . . . .

I saw that one too.....

We weren't invited to compete, the guy that did it was a friend of the owner of Great lakes, they did it again this year and said they lost our cover.....I don't buy that magazine anymore.

I saw the article too. Most covers will not stop a round from most deer rifles. To much velocity and energy. Not an engineer but don't think hitting your slow moving rig (although big and heavy) is nothing close to a deer cartridge doing 3000 fps. I've seen my 30.06 with a 180 gr bullet go through the cutting edge of a dozer blade. I'd think a better test would be to drop a 200 lb boulder off a ladder from 10' on to a diff cover laying flat on the concrete.

You send me one for the price of the "Solid" one, and I'll shoot it with an AK-47, AR-15, and whatever else I have access to.

Look at it this way, which company replied in this thread, and which one hasn't logged in since June?

Ruffstuff ships super fast too, and it's funny to watch the mail lady carry a diff cover in a flat rate box.

Well i just ordered a Solid 60F cover today. Cant beat the price.

If you are going fast or hard enough to break any reputable aftermarket cover, id say your doing something wrong.

Mad mac on pirate can beat it my 10 bucks

70 shipped for a rockcrusher lol

Just installed mine today

I have seen both Rockcrusher and Solid covers take 15 to 20 mph hits and actually stop the vehicle with no issues. I think no matter which cover you get you will be fine.
