I'm doing a cluster swap and when taking out the old cluster, these 2 sockets were attached but I didn't note which spot they were in because I couldn't see behind the cluster. There's the circuit board leading to every spot on the cluster, so I'm confused what these 2 stand alone lights go to. The black one leads back to a bundle of wires and the yellow one looks like it's just grounded above the storage compartment with the lighter. Any help?

Why are you swapping clusters? Don’t get rid of the factory tack!

Surely you're swapping clusters to get the factory tach, right? The light with the fiber optic (to illuminate the ashtray) goes in the lowest right-hand position on the cluster, as you would expect. Take a look at the cluster you just took out to see which positions don't have bulbs in them. The 3-colored wire deal is for the cruise control. It attaches behind the speedometer and this setup is sometimes different between tach and non-tach clusters, so do your research.

No worries everyone. The cluster with the tach is the one I'm installing.

Ok so the white/yellow socket goes to the bottom right side. The black one I still can't figure out. I'm not talking about the cruise control harness that connects to the speedo. It's the black one with just the white and brown wires going to it.

It is indeed the 4 wheel. I tested it this morning.

The other socket baffles me because there's no power or ground wire going to it. It's just the white/yellow socket on one end and the small light above the lighter on the other. I guess somewhere along the line this wire was cut.

That one actually gets its power when you attach it to the cluster. The black "wire" is not wire it is fiber optic cable. You can actually shine a bright flashlight into it and see the light come out in your ashtray area.
