What do you guys think? 94 sub 4x4 2k

This guy down the street is selling a 1994 suburban v8 4x4 with 15x,xxx miles for 2k. Looks clean as hell outside but doesn't run. His son bought it from an old man who has all paperwork on rebuilt motor and tranny. His kid only had it less than 2 years. He says starter went out and let it sit a while. The dad fixed that problem but now they think the fuel pump went out. Fuel comes out of injectors but doesn't look like enough pressure they say. It will start with starter fluid. If i do a compression check and check the paperwork you guys think its a good deal? Could something else be wrong?
Tires decent, body is clean, interior is good.

If it sat for 2 years the fuel is probably bad. Change the fuel filter, and drain the old fuel out. Put some new stuff in I bet you would be good to go. Sounds like a good deal, if only the 94 interior wasn't soo hideous. I would only offer 1500 though.

I hear you on the interior of some chevy's. You know for a while chevy use to make the shifters in their cavaliers look like "man parts." I used to work for a dealer and wanted to wear gloves when i drove them. Someone in their engineering department had a sense of humor.
As for this truck its leather and the guy says its good im actually trading for a boat i have. He has it listed for a little lower than 2k and my boat is 2500. I just need something to driver not worried about losing money. I didn't realize the value on the sub would be so low. Well if the motor and tranny is fresh rebuilt i might make an exception.
