What do you guys think of this place?

Thats not for a rebuilt motor thats for a used motor

The rebuilt ones are 1495 for the long block

Still.. its much less expensive that the local companies around here.

What would be in my 88 K5 civy diesel? long block?

A long block means you have an assembled block with heads, no intake, no fuel system, no accessories, etc.

Prices are high on used engines. Warranty sucks on the rebuilt motors. They probably are doing the bare minimum on the rebuilds then don't want to stand behind them more than 3 months for a reason.

Looks like it was a military and for a price they will convert it to 12V civy application...

.

Everything on the military ones is 12volt...except the starter, there is nothing to 'convert' other than bolting a 12volt starter on.Military 6.2 are all 'j' code heavyduty emission engines but that really doesn't matter either if you get the whole engine.
