What do you guys think so far?

It's set high, too far forward, and needs a few more degrees of slope. You're quite right. I didn't do it this way on purpose but SW crashed and I can't revise the mounting now unless I made a really messy assembly out of it. It's alright, When I figure out where the frame is getting chopped and where the winch, rad., and motor are going to sit and after I get the t-case all set I'm going to build a new model that will be much more accurate with a little longer wheelbase.

You'll have a PM in a few minutes.

your planning it to much and you will never come to a decision, just do it. Dont base your truck on what other people like. If you like how it looks then build it like that.
Heres one thing that I would suggest, dont use the stock frame. If you are going to go to all that work to have a sweet all tube buggy build a new frame. The stock frames tweak so much even WITH a full tube chasis on top of it.

85 - is it really that bad with yours?

It would be a definite bitch to build the entire thing out of tube and still leaf spring the front but I think it could be done. I've had numberous people suggest ditching the frame but I'm pretty intimidated at the thought. :o

No I'm not going to link the front, I just don't have the money.

My frame doesnt actually twist but I have noticed that in the long flat spots (belly area) that the bottom of the C-channell is getting some ripples in it. Its not from hitting rocks either.
The thing is all my tube is welded to the top of the frame, so my guess is the bottom isnt getting any support.
I do have crossmembers just about every 1' and it still tweaks.
IMHO you cant brace a c-channel frame enough with the kind of abuse we out it through.
The more you brace it the more it just turns into rectangle. Which would be alot easier to start with in the beginning.
