a fleetside shortbed, or stepside? I used to hate stepsides, but they have grown on me in recent years... I still think I'd rather have a fleetside tho...

I wish I had a stepside. I think they look cool on a built truck.

Stepsides for Looks, Fleetside for practicality .

I may be bias though

apparently the truck I may go look at also has a stepside bed available... being this is gonna be more of a daily driver/practical/work rig, I'll more than likely just go for the current fleet setup....

I'm thinking tube utility bed down the road anyway..

shortbox=fleetside for me...unless of course you could swing a dually setup under the stepside.

If we're talking a wheeler then a short fleet otherwise as a streetrod type vehicle a dropped short stepside is badass.

For the '88 and newer trucks, I'll go with a fleetside. For earlier trucks, it depends. Some body styles look good with either, IMO.

Insofar as actually using one, I find the fleetside bed is more practical.

I have gone the opposite direction, I used to love step sides, but now I don't really like them as much :dunno: . I vote fleet side.

I really like a shortbed in fleetside...

tho the stepside's are kinda neat on a wheeler, and for others DD's maybe, I just think the fleet will be much more practical for me...

here's the guy down the street from me's stepside..

I like fleetside period. but I do like the 90's stepside box on a 67-72 truck. seen one a little while ago in fact. their the only stepside I really like. that blue one in the first pic is growing on me though:rolleyes:

I used to be all about the stepside when lowered and the fleet when raised. Then I bought my 63 C10, its a long box but it looks so sweet lowered. So I vote Stepside lowered, Fleet for a wheeler. Long box if you really use it as a truck LOL

I would say Fleetside, they just are more useful, as they can carry more. You don`t see many steps around here anymore, although I know of a long bed/step/4x4. A step w/a nice wood floor is tough to beat for looks though.

I prefer the fleetside. Cleaner body lines. For some reason step sides always look mismatched to me.

I voted fleatside, I have had two of them a 78 and a 85, both 4x4s one with 35s and one with 33s.

My moms got my dads 82 Gmc in the garage that is a stepside its a 2 wheal drive lowered with 10inch wide rallys on the back, Love the look of that truck.

Stepside shortbed ( you do know they made longbed stepsides right?)

Never had one, love em.

There is a super clean one in a local car lot I wish I could buy but it would be a total street rod type of truck because its a 2wd

I have a Longbed stepside thats never been used , it came off a 78K30 when it was brand new ( they put a flatbed on it) I was always palnning on putting it on my "yellowk20" but never got around to it.........and know I think its going to be a buggy so I probally will never use it............ I wonder how a crewcab would look with a longbed stepdide???? :doah:
