What do you need to do for BB12?

I keep saying.....

You can just shut up right now. They finally called. Shop foreman drew the short straw.

Front gear case was correct for the truck. Somebody swapped in an earlier short block. Instead of installing the correct crank timing gear for the crank positioning sensor, they cut the sensor out of the wrong cover and welded it into this cover. That's what was leaking. So the new cover is not timed correctly.

They got it all back together and the thing ran like crap. They spent 4 hours trying to figure out what was wrong.

Parts are on the way. They claim that they will work on it all day tomorrow.

So if I make it, it will be a miracle.

Scott, I will not be there Friday and may not be there Sunday. Only time will tell.

I am off to have a beer and to go shooting. Yes in that order.

Sitting at the koa in gj drinking cold adult beverage and waiting for pizza delivery with the ssyorks.

Went swimming, saw a couple of K5's come through town, off to see a movie at the theatre in a few minutes.

Wade- no matter what, you still have the coolest tow rig.

We haven't set a time to leave for "Hey Joe Canyon", but if someone wants to tag along, they're welcome. We're at CanyonLands RV park, across from Burger King.

Best wishes for all who are still coming.

My wife said I can't read anything about BB12 on CK5. She said my tears are going to short out my iPad.

Drive the jimmy,.....

We are headed to Kanab Utah from Moab. So no reason to drive there, then back to Co., then back to Kanab. Too much driving even for me.

Just take the time to look at the scenery along Hwy 12.

I did that trip going back from BB to PHX a few years ago - Moab, Green River, Hanksville, Torrey, Boulder, Escalante, Tropic, Kanab...

I'd bet that in that semi, there's a part of Hwy 12 just before Escalante that'll feel like a slickrock fin on Hell's Revenge...:D

Stop by Bryce Canyon NP on the way... maybe take that rim walk, there's plenty to see.

Yes, it's not 'wheeling. I know, as I would have preferred to go to BB over sitting in the office. But there are views to be cherished nevertheless - don't miss out.

We are spending 6 weeks in Kanab. Plenty of exploring will be done.

Then go see White Pocket, just across the AZ border. Really. Colored rocks and stuff - to me, it's really all that, and a bag of chips.

Burr trail ought to be in your reach towards the east, and Zion NP to the west...

And in case you do Hole in the Rock road, that is coming in from the north, out of Escalante, I'd appreciate a trip report and a photo or two...

My aunt & uncle live in Kanab and their oldest son is a park ranger at Bryce Canyon; Kevin Poe. I think he's been there 10yrs now. They are fun places to visit.

Well I'm sitting in Richfield Utah with a busted axle on the trailer. I lost a wheel bearing and it chucked the tire and ate the spindle. Even if I find a shop to fix it close to me I won't have enough funds to finish the drive in and still get home.
This sucks......already drove 600 miles and probably will have to turn around and go home with only 200 to go.

Well I found a shop to do the repair. He's got an idler axle that we can put in it. I won't have trailer brakes but I'm going to make it as long as we can keep the cost under 500. I'm going to have to cut out all extras. Looks like no beer for me..........and baloney with plain bread for meals.

I am not going to make it either :frown1: we were 1 hour outside of Amarrillo, Texas (about 9 hours from my house) and the engine starts running strange... Turns out we are having compression issues. Not enough money to fix it, make it the rest of the way (12 hour drive) and back home.. Instead of chance it, we just called off the trip. Looks like I will have to wait until next year.. maybe a new truck by then :dunno: and not one that is a pile of :poo:... This hapened the other day, I just got home and back to a computer. I want to see some good pictures!

If we run the same trail I'll give you a burger and a beer ! Sucks about the trailer , whas the problem mantenence or to heavy of a load ? I'll be heading out about 6:00 from salt lake:waytogo:
