I keep saying.....
You can just shut up right now. They finally called. Shop foreman drew the short straw.
Front gear case was correct for the truck. Somebody swapped in an earlier short block. Instead of installing the correct crank timing gear for the crank positioning sensor, they cut the sensor out of the wrong cover and welded it into this cover. That's what was leaking. So the new cover is not timed correctly.
They got it all back together and the thing ran like crap. They spent 4 hours trying to figure out what was wrong.
Parts are on the way. They claim that they will work on it all day tomorrow.
So if I make it, it will be a miracle.
Scott, I will not be there Friday and may not be there Sunday. Only time will tell.
I am off to have a beer and to go shooting. Yes in that order.


we were 1 hour outside of Amarrillo, Texas (about 9 hours from my house) and the engine starts running strange... Turns out we are having compression issues. Not enough money to fix it, make it the rest of the way (12 hour drive) and back home.. Instead of chance it, we just called off the trip. Looks like I will have to wait until next year.. maybe a new truck by then
