Congrats... I hope you get something worked out. If I was out there, I'd give you a hand with it...

another option by a tow bar for a jeep around 180 or so and rent a truck or borrow one to tow it with. Tow bar will also came in handy for future thats how i tow my sub around. And you are not paying reg and storing a trailer when not in use.
Since you just got it. Do you have access to a 3/4 ton truck? If so, go to United Rentals in Chico and rent a car trailer for a day. Should cost under $80 for a 24hour period and do the towing/pick up yourself. Just be sure to ask them for a cartrailer that is at least 84" X 16' wide. I work for United and it is what I use to tow my First Gen to the trails.

when I moved from portland, the largest car hauler i could get from uhaul had a capacity of 3800 lbs or so. when i ordered the gear i needed, the guy promised me i could haul my full size blazer with it. i told him it was oversized, he said sure enough it would be able to be hauled on their equipment. i was sorely dissapointed the day before i needed to move 300 miles across the state. i called the uhaul service number and they told me that they dont offer a trailer big enough for a full size truck. i certainly couldn't find one on their website either...
The guy on the phone told me 5000 lbs. Their website say 4000lbs.
I'll be sure and get the measurements from them now. Got me a little worried.
Note: outside tire width over 75" must use late-model
- U-Haul Auto Transport (identifiable by silver galvanized color).
Me again. I just checked the Chico branch and they have a Millerbilt trailer that would suit your needs to haul the blazer. PM me and I can probably get you a bit better deal and reserve the trailer for you if this is the way you want to go.
