Ok, I am planning to go with a 4" shackle flip in the rear and 4" Tuff Country EZride springs up front. Do you think this will give me some decent flex. And are there any concerns I should be aware of before going with this lift? Thanks!

Steve

Yes.
Here is a link to Depdogs stuff. He runs the same set up but uses rear springs from a Mid 80's K5. I run almost the same set up except I got some stiff Rancho's that don't flex in the front. Dep also did some shock relocating tricks that are detailed on this site.

I have an 80 K5. Is there any difference between an 87 and an 80's rear leafs?

Steve

Yeah a ton. Softer spring rate, Teflon pads between the leaves. Rides so much better than the older leafs. Not sure when they changed them. Sometime in the mid 80's. My 79 and 75 both had much stiffer springs. I have 86 springs on the 75 and looking for another set for the 79.
