I got mine in 2000. It has been in many roles over the years from DD to occasional off-road parks, camping trips, overlanding, etc. Lately it has been used mostly for exploring and expeditions. We live in a beautiful area full of hills, lakes, vistas so it gets used regularly in the summer to run to the beach, watch a sunset from on top of a cliff and things like that (we actually have the biggest lake and I can see part of it out the window...). I still will drive it anywhere, like to work or the hardware store, but I don't REALLY enjoy long road trips in it on 38x15.5 swampers. Fortunately the longest thing it usually does anymore is a 4-hour run to our camp. I used to road trip it a couple thousand miles a summer and never wanted to lose the flexibility by needing a trailer.
In sits inside all winter, which is like half of the year, unless I get it out to winch the tractor out of a drift or something. This is all a good fit with the historic plate - $50 one time and good forever. That also helps get low insurance rates as pleasure-use, low miles.
But currently it doesn't run. Prior to this I don't think it's ever been out of commission for more than a couple of weeks at a time.
