The AC is all there accept the belt, so its possible there is supposed to be something it connects into that is currently missing?
So I went looking on the innerwebs and looks like @Fastereddie got it with the AC. Mine is missing the belt and the wire from firewall to compressor.
Mine is missing, iirc that part of the loom also has a fuse between that firewall connection and the compressor

I believe that was a safety device to keep the hood from going into the windshield in a collision.
I thought that was why they bent in 1/2 when you closed them.

That's a pretty cheesy bracket for keeping the hood outta the passenger compartment.
I agree, but I’m pretty sure that’s what is was there for. That and what Wade said about the crinkle zone in the hood reinforcement. I don’t think they had it very long. Probably realized they didn’t need it like the side bracket on the 205 hahahaha

it goes in the reinforced hole. Idea is to keep the hood from becoming a guillotine in a front end collision.
