The AC is all there accept the belt, so its possible there is supposed to be something it connects into that is currently missing?
So I went looking on the innerwebs and looks like @Fastereddie got it with the AC. Mine is missing the belt and the wire from firewall to compressor. The AC is all there accept the belt, so its possible there is supposed to be something it connects into that is currently missing?

I believe that was a safety device to keep the hood from going into the windshield in a collision.I think thats just a height adjuster post, not an actual latch.
I thought that was why they bent in 1/2 when you closed them.I believe that was a safety device to keep the hood from going into the windshield in a collision.

That too…I thought that was why they bent in 1/2 when you closed them.![]()
I agree, but I’m pretty sure that’s what is was there for. That and what Wade said about the crinkle zone in the hood reinforcement. I don’t think they had it very long. Probably realized they didn’t need it like the side bracket on the 205 hahahahaThat's a pretty cheesy bracket for keeping the hood outta the passenger compartment.
it goes in the reinforced hole. Idea is to keep the hood from becoming a guillotine in a front end collision.is there suppose to be a matching bracket for that post on the hood?
All I have is the sheet metal. Looks like something went there...
