What does your garage look like?

One of the biggest space killers in my shop is removed parts that I'm not willing to throw out. I have a bunch of factory air cleaners, heater parts from my scout, emissions stuff, my old Q-jet, and on and on. Do you just throw that stuff away, or what...

that's what attics are for... :haha:

Access its value...if it has value, turn it into cash...if it has no value put it on Craigslist and let somebody else store it for a while :thumb:

Yes, the lab literally looks like a lab....a very clean workspace :waytogo:

appears that you don't do stickers, but rather photos on your toolbox

Heres my garage :)

Sorry about the mess hope to have it power washed this weekend to get all the winter grime out of it.

That cleaned up real nice after the flood Paul. Tons of work, no doubt.

that is a very magnificent toolbox....:eek1:

I know this is probably just a phobia or mental condition, but why does everyone's garage look bigger than mine...:doah:

like a stack of dimes....a stack of dimes...:haha:

I know you said two car garage, but here's mine. It's still a work in progress. The truck slides over on the dollies when it's time to work.

Back to the original question, my recommendation for best wall covering would be peg board EVERYWHERE. You can hang as much stuff as it will physically hold and (depending on how you do it) you can see where your studs are for the heavy stuff. I wish that's what I had right now, but I'm in a rental so I'm not investing anything in modifying someone else's garage. But pegboard is the way to go.

I disagree. I don't have enough available wall space to just hang stuff on the walls. Almost all my walls have toolboxes or strong shelving up against them.

And, if you are in a rental, it is easy to put up free standing shelving, and just anchor to the walls.

I maybe have 4 sq ft of pegboard in my whole garage.

:screwy: I was talking strictly about the walls, of course he'll still need shelves and a tool box.
