Don't know what happened to the rig, but I still have all of the magazine issues that had articles on that build up. That was one sweet ride! The time frame was around 86 to 87 or so. I was in L.A. in July '87 and saw that rig going the other way on the freeway. I was bummed that I couldn't find a place to turn around and chase him down to get a closer look at it. Just the paint job on that thing probably cost more than I have in my entire rig!

It's a great day to be alive...

Was that the Blazer they scrapped the body for to put one of the "Bummer" kits on?
I think that was the Blazer... anyone else remember?

I nearly cried when they used a perfectly good Blazer just for the Chassis for a freakin Bummer..

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it. http://www.rocko.coloradok5.com

Man, that blazer they used for the bummer was not in that bad of condition - at least they sold the body to someone who used it instead of scrapping it.
didn't that bummer kit cost about $6000? That would easily buy a pristine OE body - the bummer doesn't make a lot fo sense.

I remember every detail about the build up of Might Rat. I have every issue back to 1985. That blazer was AWESOME!!! That whole drivetrain was built by Maurice Rozo, owner of Off Road Unlimited. They built that whole truck at the 4 Wheel Parts Wholesalers shop. Still an cool ride!!!
