Just count teeth and divide ring by pinion.

I looked at mine and there was the faintest mark saying 410. Figured there be more numbers and letters like what you had. Counted the ring and pinion (twice to make sure) and it ended up being 4.56

without removing the carrier, how exactly do you count pinion teeth? I guess i'm not that patient:confused:
I jacked up the rear and had someone turn the tire while I counted I think. And also made a small mark to remember where I started counting

Theres no need to count the teeth. You have 4.10 gears. Your axle was made in april of 84. Ive seen so many of these ring gear stamps.....the instant I looked at your initial post with all of the numbers not spaced out I knew it was 4.10's. Counting the teeth on the pinion is a pain in the a$$
