What gears?

I'll start by saying I just swapped axles into my truck with 4.10s and am running 35" tires. My trans does not down shift on the highway when it comes to hills and cruises better with all the other traffic. The old set up was stock 3.42s and 33s and it would downshift at hills and lump along at certain speeds. With the 4.10s and 35s it's much improved.

With that said, if you have the means for a gear swap, change them up to at least 4.56 for running 35s. You will have better power and work the engine trans less in the long run. 5.13s may make it suck a bit more gas on the highway but win some, lose some.

And, just a suggestion, go with a 4" lift instead of the 6" with the 35s.

ya 6" lift on the shortbed and blazers most of the time = def redo of the drive shafts. and a c/v head rear shaft.

and like said 4" work just fine on 1 ton and 35" as 1 ton axles basicly get you 1" lift alone from bigger axle tubes and spring perch in higher position from bigger diff housing.

I want to do as little fender trimming as possible. From what I've read I will have to trim the fenders with 35's and the 6" lift.

if you get cray on flex yes.

i have 6" total lift on 1 ton frame and can clear 35 no problem. 37 on heavy flex just rub the back corners.

mabye you can do a set of zero rates to move the axle forward 1"-1.5" and that def helps keep it out of the fenders a lot. http://diy4x.com/cart/index.php?route=product/product&path=24&product_id=128 or http://www.offroaddesign.com/catalog/Zero%20Rates.htm

pic #2 = 37" tires

1 ton k30 truck and 4" springs and 2" body lift looks like fenders cut but its only molding rotted off bottom corners.

I'm running 6" front springs with 35's and no fender trim and I have crushed the rear of the fronbt fenders with very light wheeling. I also have a D60 up front which adds about another 3/4" to the height.

i was told i have a 6 inch lift when i bought my blazer but i always thought i have a 4 inch cause when i start flexing my 35's start rubbing maybe i do have a 6 inch after all
