What is the best fuel milage I can expect out of a 1990 K5 Blazer 350/700r 4inch lift and 33" tires

It all boils down to how you drive, brother.

If you're on the skinny pedal every chance you get, expect to see numbers in the 8-10 MPG range(or less). If you're doing a lot of highway and drive conservatively around town, you might get as high as 15-17 MPG.

Remember that to achieve better mileage, you need to make sure your truck is properly maintained. Keep it tuned up all the time, and don't overlook the importance of regular fluid changes and filter replacements.

I get a consistant 17-18 MPG on the highway at 65- 70MPH. In my 89 K5 with 4" lift and 33AT tires. My average city/highway milage is around 15mpg. But i have done quite a few mods to my FI/exhaust system to get better milage.
The type of tires will make a difference. I have both AT and MT tires. When I run my MTs it knocks off about 1.5 MPG from my highway MPG

Eggsackly....my 89 w/ same 33" At's on 8" rally's, and 33" MT's on 10" Rally's...CFM Tech matched flow injectors w/spacer and TBI spacer, Flowtech Ceramics w/Hi Flo cats thru Magnaflow's true dual, built 700r w/cooler, etc., 350 roller crate w/roller rockers. Tuned by my neighbor who races 2nd Gen Camaros.

I've hit 19+ mpg a time or two running flatlands on Cruise control, 14-15 regularly in town, and 16-18 hwy. 3.73's w/ Auburn Pro's at both ends 10B/12B. The MT's knock off about 1.5, but I also run with the AC on.

I think the Injector spacer helps the most all round, the TBI spacer helps mostly at midrange cruising and I've had headers on most everything I've owned since forever, so I don't even know what it's like without them. Headers have pretty much been the first thing I've done to anything I own. Also, when I went with the Matched Flow injuectors I noticed a difference...not exactly more power, but just a lot smoother. I don't know that I need to go with a different regulator or ported TBI, but that would be the next thing I fiddle with.

I roadtrip to Ark pretty regularly pulling my Bass Boat and get 12-14 depending on the hills. (Hot Springs vs. Bull Shoals or Tablerock)

tons of good tbi info with brian at www.tbichips.com

he has full dyno he can use. he said just shorty headers/heate o2 swap/3" single exaust with or without cat 30hp at rear wheels.

i am building a copy of 1 of his motors 90% of the stuff he did. build in efi section here.
