for the seal on the back of the hub? is it the wheel oil seal, or the spindle hub oil seal?? I`ll post a pic later because I can`t get on photobucket at school. Its hard to tell which it is, as they both look the same in the pictures on rockauto.com. I believe when I got the seal when I rebuilt my hubs before, it was called the bearing seal, outer i believe...

TIA

Is it a picture? I`m on the computer at school, and they block everything:crazy: Most of time if I can`t see a pic, its from Photobucket

:haha: :haha: see how easy that was??:haha: :haha:

Would have been alot more funny if you could have seen that. But from what your discribing. It says "seal" and no other words. It might be best to go to your local advance auto, and get the parts guy to pull up the hub assembly, on the computer. Then you can show him the part you are seeking to make sure you get the right one. I've done that in the past and it works flawlessly.

Should be called the Inner Bearing Seal.

The Inner Spindle Seals (there are two of them) go between the spindle and axle shaft.

I think that rockauto lists it as an inner wheel oil seal, could that be right?

lol yep they finally got smart at the beginning of this year and added the work "proxy" to the list of keywords that blocks sites...so now we can't use Proxy sites anymore. :(

will the internals of the 8 lug hub be the same as the 6 lug hub? only reason I ask is I have all the part #s from when I rebuilt my 6 lug hubs....

Yes. Bearings, seals, etc are all the same.
