What kind of parts are you interested in???

[ QUOTE ]
Is he hiring Wayne? /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

/forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gifNot that I know of. You should have talked to him when he was hiring a sales person. I would love to work for him but for now I'm just stoked to be helping with what I'm doing.

KMA has economical bumpers for those of you interested.

The customer service sucks though, you get what you pay for.

Somehow I have a problem with spending $1000 on something that is armor though--you know it's going to get beat up.

What is the full name of this company KMA? I did a search using "KMA" and the word "bumper". Nothing came up but tech articles using the same KMA acronym.

KMA Web Site

Be carefull dealing with them. Look around Google and do your homework so you know what to expect

[/ QUOTE ]

My bumpers are KMA if anyone was wondering. They're ok but they aren't what I wanted.

KMA does not seem to have any bumpers for GEN-2 GM trucks. The only bumper I saw on there web site, which would come close to fitting a GEN-2 GM was $1350. That is not very economical.

Why are they not what you wanted. Were they designed wrong or were you limited by budget?

[/ QUOTE ]

I designed it myself. He just didn't follow instructions...it sticks out too far, hangs down too much, the rear had no side protection, the bumper doesn't wrap around the side far enough, etc., and it was delivered late.

He simply didn't understand English, and I was so pissed when I got them. /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

That's what I get for buying instead of building my own.

What does KMA have to do with what I asked???

[/ QUOTE ] if you can do a better job for cheaper you can take business from them. the more info on other companies pros and cons are something i would really ask for if i were you! that saves you guys time by learning from other people's shortfalls. as far as a product. how about a rear shock mount bracket kit that splays the shocks front-rear like the factory, but gives room for a longer shock and doesn't encourage body roll. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

I don't think there are to many other vendors out there that I don't know about. I am also not going to say anything will be cheaper then what you can find elsewhere. I am fairly confident we can come up with affordible products that the quality will let them sell themselves.

[/ QUOTE ] so the input from guys that have bought products from your potential competition isn't you want to have feedback on? you may be familar with other vendors products but i doubt you have tried them all on a given rig like a k5 for instance. i think it would be a mistake on your part to think you can figure out all the issues on the first go! /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

At this time I have no interest in other vendors problems. All this post is for is to see what people want and get ideas on what parts are worth to them. I just want it to stay on topic and not turn in to a vendor bashing like we all have seen in the past. When a spacific product is ready to be started then I planned to ask for oponions on other products on the market and what the likes and dislikes are for those spacific products. I'm just tring to keep this in some sort of order before taking the next step. Hope this clarifies where I am comming from. /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

cage kits for suburbans. im fine with welding it together but it just needs to be easy to install. and make go around the rear a/c. and i've always wanted a set of hagers and longer shackles for the front end. people make 3" kits like that for ford superduties. just lowered hangers and longer shackles to drop the front springs. more lift with a softer spring.

The Burb cage might be a little tuff. Not that it can't be done but it might be a good mass production product. It's a good idea and possibly can be done as a limited bases. As for the front hanger idea that might be pretty simple to do.

i'm not very familiar with the differences between blazer and sub interiors, i have a /forums/images/graemlins/burb.gif, /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif but could you make the cage the same in the front, say from the windshield frame to the b pillar and then from there back would be where the differences are. like a "starter kit" for sub cages. if that makes any sense.
my .02

-Tube Doors
-Diff guards
-Rock Sliders (especially for pick-up cabs)
-Bed mount spare tire carriers
-spring shackles
-brake hose and e-brake cable relocation brackets that would allow us to use stock hoses and cables after doing a lift. I just went through this with lifting my truck. Plus it makes replacing a blown hose cheaper. No wait for extended lines.
-brackets similar to what the millitary used on the CUCV's to attach tow shackles front & rear
-cost effective bumpers front & rear

I'm giving you all my ideas....
