I'm obvoiusly looking in the wrong places. The cheapest I found didn't even come with shocks and was twice as much as what everyone here is saying they payed. Guess I'm the guy places like 4 wheel parts is targeting. I don't know crap about crap so if the add says 6 in suspention lift, it's good enough for me. I'm glad I read all this before I spent a grand or two for something crappy.

I Have a 6" skyjacker softride lift on a 1st gen. no blocks all springs best ride quality and get tons of flex and ther are no steel straps wraped around the springs, just a bolt that is removeable for even more flex. Highly recomend skyjacker. It allows me to fit 37" boggers perfectly.

I have ran 8" Skyjackers on the front of my 72 K20, and I now run 12" Superlifts, the ride is no different they both ride kinda stiff. What do you expect the ride to be, a spring with that much arch is going to ride rough.

I'm runnin' 6"TCI front/2" TCI rear with a ORD shackle flip on my blazer.
I've beat the crap outta it for 3 years now...no issues.

I´m running a 2,5" skyjacker spring/block lift. I think it flexes very good. Rides nice too. It´s the softride springs.

I run 6" Skyjacker Softride springs all the way around. They ride great without being too soft for the highway but will flex all the way to the factory bumpstops on the rear and I can't seem to keep my38's out of my front fenders. I guess its time for round two with the sawz-all.

In all honesty, I really like BDS. Out of all the trucks I have driven/riden in, the BDS has had the best ride quality.

Got a 6" BDS, all spring, on my Super dutie with front lift hangers and rear bags. Fits 37" tire and looks as good as a Ferd can!

K5's got 52" Alcans on front , like 7-8" lift range. There of the 11 leaf variety and work super offroad and pretty good on the street all while holding a 454 up! In the back its 56" long TC softrides which have 3" lift and work with ORD 4" flip.

Don't forget to call Alcan, Dever and National as they don't just make hardcore offroad stuff and though they cost a little more they have top notch stuff.

My 2 cents

do u know what an 8in kit would look like with 35 ..b/c i have a 8 in kit im my 86 blazer and i found brannew 35 in tires for $300 form my dads friend but i dont want 2 buy them if it will look stupid pzl giv me an ansewer thanx :D

52"s 56"s .... shackle flip rear and a 0-rate for 5"s

52"s dana 60 spring pads, 5-1/4" shackles and a 0 rate for 5"s

I'm running 4" superlift springs, got them from their scratch-n-dent store on e-bay. They're a heck of a lot nicer than the 2.5" pro-comps i had before. I also got my shocks from there. They're definitely not the best, but they're only a temporary solution for now anyways.

ive ran:

rancho 4 inch worst lift ive owned
superlift 6 inch a little stiff but def took the abuse
superlift 8 inch same as above
superlift 12 inch plenty of movement
sky jacker 8 by far the best lift ive owned

I have the 4" Rough Contry ( all springs ) with the pittman arm, brake lines, shocks, and steering stabilizer. This kit was a great value and works fantastic on my 89 Suburban, I have no complaints. They were pleasant to deal with and quick to ship.
