Guy I work with just bought a '99 z-71 silverado new body style. Even though I've tried to talk him into a beater 4x4 to actually wheel, he wants the "look" of a mild lift ( 2- 3 inches ). This is his daily, street only driver so think smooth ride. What company do you think would have what he's looking for. He does'nt want a body lift. Thanks for any ideas to help him out

Eek. New style truck means IFS, which means $$ to do a suspension lift -- it's not like the 73-87/91's where you can just throw a shackle lift and new springs on it and call it good.

Body lift might really be best.

Eek x2, I'm totally with you on that.I can't talk sense to this guy but he's a good kid and a hard worker so I'm trying to help him. It's a nice clean truck, I told him to leave it alone.:D

How about some bigger meats with some bushwacker fender flares otherwise I vote the body lift route, shoot for a street only rig you can't beat the price either compared to a ifs lift.

Body lifts look stupid, I know, I have one.

Tell him to join the crowd and buy a 4" lift from any of the big name manufacturers with some 33" A/T's, just like everyone else does with those trucks.

You guys are freaking out that because it's IFS it would be so difficult.

Count how many of those trucks you pass per day with your standard 3-6" lift and 33" tires. They are like flies.

I concur, Mr. guitar farmer, I read him your post and told him to step up to the plate and throw down. Thanks all, now let this thread die.:D
