What might you ask am I doing with this card board?? Pics.

Careful with the lexan as it tends to scratch and after a while you can barely see out of it cuz the sun reflects in the scratches and looks horrible. Speed glass is the shiz but it's pricy.

McMaster Carr has a Polycarbonate scratch resistant UV resistant 4' X 8' .236 thick piece for $213. The Speed Glass for a 5' X 2' whech is what I need is $260. Is a better piece but for the price thru McMaster I get two pieces for less so I end up with a replacement for later use. I think I might go that route. Undecided still but Im keeping my options open.

For that price why not build your deal to fit a real glass window and use silicone and a tabs or a something to hold it in

You can buy 1/4" polycarbonite for a lot less than $200 at a local plastics shop down there. If you provide them a template they can even cut it for you with a router. Do they have "TAP Plastics" down there?

Not that I know of, but we do have plastic supply houses. I will look into a few and get some prices.

I don't want to really use glass because its too easy to break in to. The Speed Glass stuff is shatter proof or so I have read. I have found a bunch of info on it and I like what I have read about it. Its just pricy.

If you do a google search for "plexiglass" in your area, there's likely to be a lot. Here's one I found which you could likely buy a 1/2 sheet and cut it yourself or have them do it.
