How about "Jaws 2" 1978 & "Earthquake" 1974
Info about the K-5 in earrthquake......
Stewart Graff's Four Wheel Drive Vehicle...
Throughout the film, Stewart Graff drives around Los Angeles in his massive, go anywhere, four-wheel-drive vehicle. As a special section for you car buffs, here are the statistics...
The vehicle is a 1974 Chevrolet K5 Blazer four-wheel-drive with a 350 cubic-inch V-8 and an automatic transmission (with just three speeds -- not the "eight forward speeds and three reverse" number that Stewart Graff refers to in the film).
The Chevy sits on American Racing's five-slot magnesium wheels, and 31-inch tires. The Blazer was mildly customized by Universal Studios for the film, and was sprayed with a red racing stripe over silver paint, and featured a slightly modified grille and full custom hard top. The interior was light blue, the rear seat removed, and a chrome roll bar was added. It even had a primitive car telephone!
The cost of the modification alone was $5,000. Considering the entire purchase price of a Blazer was about $5,000 in 1974, the modification was quite an expenditure. This would be the equivalent of taking a new $35,000 Chevrolet Suburban SUV and customizing it for an additional $35,000!
What happened to the "Earthquake Blazer" after the film is unknown, but it was likely sold to a crew member or Universal employee ... in other words, someone probably has it, and I'd like to talk with you!
