I watched Adam-12 last night and saw a few '69 or '70 K5's in the background...they also used some nice 63-66 Suburbans and panel trucks as Ambulances on that show..
I often watch those old shows like "Emergency" and "Dragnet" ,not just because they were good shows, but to see all the brand new muscle cars and trucks in the backgrounds during filming..
All nice new ones,in CA,talk about drool,I hate it when they show one getting totaled though!...I've seen an episode of "Chips" that totaled a '69 green GTO identical to the one I owned, that ruined that episode for me!..
Just watched Convoy for the first time in a long time. There's a nice old yellow Chevy P-up w/ a camper in it. Always seems to be in the same scenes as the roofless bus carrying all the Jesus freaks.
Saw an Adam-12 episode last week that had a sweet red '72 K5 they were chasing,it was being used to smuggle pot from a deserted location where a private plane loaded with pot landed..
It was probably a brand new truck, the episode was the same vintage as the K5 was..
There is another first generation K5 in a recent prescription drug commercial being shown lately,a dark gray or black one--I forget the name of the pill though..
The movie Baby Driver has some pretty awesome scenes in the last 15 minutes where he tries to kill the bad guy with a K5 and then temporarily escapes in it. Good looking Blazer but it gets bashed up a little. It’s about an 85 model.
Didn't they have a K5 in the movie
"Broken Arrow" with John Travolta
and some chick that was a park ranger or something like that?? They hijacked a nuclear weapon on a train ??
There’s a Ben Affleck movie on HBO called “The Way Back” it’s a pretty good movie.
He’s driving a K5 around through the whole movie.
It wasn’t anything fancy but they shot a lot of scenes around the Blazer even though it wasn’t really relevant to the movie.
It is his latest movie from 2020.
