what rear end is this? it is out of a 67 gmc 3/4 or 1 ton truck it is a full floater rear w/ 4.56s and 10 cover bolts, and the snout does not unbolt, heres the #s i found on the outside: C30255 60 US Pat# 1968618
2013188

Rearend plate
Dana 60 C30255
C8TA-F 602911-14 3.54
Pulled this from a Furd site. Looks like a Dana 60!

it is definatley a 60, i just looked at the identification chart, so wich one is better the 14bolt or the 60??? i guess i have one of both now with 4.56s

From what I've heard the 14blt gives you more ground clearance than the 60. But can't speak from personal experience!

The Eaton *does* have a removable pinion support, like the 14 bolt.

The dana 60 doesnt...and it has more clearance than a 14 bolt, as well as being lighter...but the 14 bolt is stronger in every conceivable way.

Yeah, my bad...I read the post too quickly and thought it said the pinion snout did unbolt...:doah:
