i swapped th350 out put 454 tbi in alls well an its bad as hell but cant git my gas gauge to read proper fuel level. grounds good cause external pump works,an its only 2 wires th gauge was workin before all this. if i hook the non ground to where its supposed to be it reads way over full,if i ground that wire it stays at empty. any ideas.

sender unit with tbi pump has 2 wires to pump only and single wire for gauge to read. and tank / sender has a tab on it that a ground wire is atteched to to ground to the frame. comon thing for that wire to rot off or get riped off from tank removal.

take a small hose clamp and install it on 1 line from the sender for fuel in or out. pinch a wire in to it and tighted down. then bolt wire to good clean frame ground.

Make sure you have a ground from the motor to the frame..I had one off before and things acted a little strange
