what seats? ( for those with unusual measurements)

I'm 6'9" tall, about 265 lbs.

The stock seats that are in my 77 are SHOT. The brackets/sliders are rusty, but ok mechanically. The seats are from something else and worn out. It's really not a possibity to put a cover on them. (they're "bad")

What's a good replacement?
I'm not looking for a full "race" seat, just something that works.
Maybe even a bench?

Any advice is appreciated.
I haven't hit the bone yard yet, as I thought I might ask what to look for.

look at some corbeau seats. they come in all sizes and are supposed to be real comfy.

There are a lot of good seats out there. We picked up the Corbeau Ultra SS and really like them

Iam 6'5" 275lb and have had the same problem. If you dont mind doing a little fab work you can put in newer seat out of a chevy truck 96-2001 like I did. They work great and you can find them cheap like around $300(check ebay).

I'm a bit smaller than ya at 6'4" - 200# but the Flofits I got from www.seatsource.com fit me with room to spare. Cost was about $800 to the door for two seats with mounting brackets, shipping, etc.

Go to your local scrap yard and get some seats out of a chev van (astro van)
Thats where I picked up the third bucket for mine dirt cheap
