What size tires came stock on a 88 k5?

Not sure about an 88 but my 89 came with 31/10.5/15 and i'll bet that was pretty standard for most of these rigs.

I think "standard" was the 235-75R-15's, but more common was the optional 31-10.50's.

The aluminum wheels that came stock on the 91's (think that year). Were they 16's??

Nope; half-tons always came with 15"s. The 16"s would be on an 8-lug truck.

You're talking about "D" in this pic?

Funny thing is they use almost the same pic for the Burbs, except the bottom one is 5 lug ... and I am reasonably sure that the second one was only on 3/4's as well. The General can be inscrutable...

For your particular year the only specified stock tire is 235/75-15, which is about 29" x 9.25 x 15. It does say "larger tubeless available", which likely means the dealers were doing whatever they wanted ;)

The 31 x 10.5 x 15 is popular, likely as (1) they're very common and (2) they're about as big as most people want to go without regearing/lifting, etc.
