(What started as) Windshield sagging - 75 full top

@blazer74 , I forgot to mention I also used your trick and used a bottle jack and a 2x12 to push the windshield frame/firewall forward. And wow, the doors lined up and closed perfect after that! Since the hinges are still so tight, they really help with getting everything lined up. I'm hopefully going to get rocking and rolling on this thing next week!

Still tinkering with this truck and am spending tomorrow replacing the body mount with new poly mounts from ORD. Have also been taking it to get dustless blasted, but unfortunately the guys compressor broke down 1/4 of the way through.. so I should be returning shortly!

Okay, finished up on the body mounts last week, and man! What a difference that made! The doors literally close perfectly now. The windshield still looks like it may ever so slightly be getting pushed forward, but other than that, the doors are lining up and closing great. The body lines also look much better.. so now I'm going to get cutting on the rockers within the week! Progress is going good!

Also met a very skilled tinner through work, and found out that he used to work in a shop doing nothing but fabbing roll cages! Said that he is interested in side jobs over the winter so I'm already on the list! The cage tied into the frame should really stiffen and square this thing up!

In case anyone was wondering......

Progress is coming along well! Driver side should be completely done here soon... And then to do it all over again on the passenger!:rolleyes2:

It has definitely been a minute..... But throughout this time I've been away, I've been very consistent on putting work into this thing! And thankfully my body man has been too! Metal work is nearing completion, engine is sitting on the stand ready to go, tranny is about to be ordered, AND thanks to a very skilled tinner that I work with, it now has a 6 point roll bar/cage.. My other good friend who is doing the body will hopefully have the firewall rot completely cut out and fixed by the end of this weekend. Will be driving by this summer! Hopefully....:whistle2: Could not do any of this without the help of my friends and them being generous enough to share there skills with me!

It's 1am on a week night, but here I am on CK5:whistle:

Sorry for the delays between post, I'm just extremely busy and don't have much time to get on here unfortunately.. But anyways, the blazer is coming along! Still not running, still a lot of work to do, but definitely much closer than it was! I just picked it up from a friend's who wired the entire thing for me and did a killer job.. Everything is fully shrink wrapped and looks awesome..

Hope to fire it up in a month, give or take, and hopefully driving shortly after!Screenshot_20220425-004908_Video Player.jpg
