hey guys i have a deal i might let happen but im not too sure on my part. i have a set of 4 39.5/18/16.5 super swamper boggers with 8lug chrome rims, two are 1/4 tread and two are 1/2 inch of tread i picked up for some trades and 400 bucks. I also have a set of four toyo open country m/t's 37/13.5/18 with about 60% tread without rims that i picked up for 250. i had a offer of four brand new 38/14.5/16 toyo open country m/t's on new black 8 lug rims. This is going on my daily driver btw.

I would my run the toyo's but i cant afford rims for them or find any for cheap, so im daily driving on my boggers after my 8 lug swap, and wonding if i should trade both of my for a decent set i can daily drive on and not worry about wearing. I plan on going to badlands memorial weekend and i need a set of tires i can drive down there and wheel then drive home. Here are the swampers on my truck and heres a pic of the toyo's and the ones i can get.

On a daily driver you will like the toyos, you can get the 38s? How much?

That would be a good tire. Sell the boggers, shoot I sold a set of boggers that were pretty much bald for 250! Almost felt bad about it :D

I would trade my toyo's and my boggers for his 38in toyo's he wants 1400 or both of my sets. Im not sure how they will be at the badlands because no real big lugs and i was kinda lookin to see how the boggers proformed...only problem its my daily driver. maybe 20 miles a day.

20 miles a day you will burn those boggers up!!!!

I dont' mind Toyos off road. A bogger they are not, not even in the same class, but then again the bogger sucks on road and the Toyos are well Toyos they do well on the road.

I still think you should trade while you can you are going to need new tires in short order. Most of my freinds who have driven boggers on the road alot get around 10k out of them if they keep em balanced and rotated

My $.02, take the trade. IF the tires you are going to be getting are "brand new" I would do it, especially if you are going to be DD'ing your truck for any amount of time.

make sure the new rims are std 8x6.5 bolt pattern. not ford stupid duty 8x170.

seen lots of bad deals with them stupid duty bolt pattern rims. and its about 1/8-1/4" diffrence it wont fit.

Thanks for the input guys, the tires are standard chevy 8 lug. Munepit im not a registered user so i cant see your pics. i wish i had better pics i could see or what they look like on a fullsize rig.

I'm with the rest of the guys. The Boggers are good offroad but you do most of your driving onroad. Since it's your DD get the radials and ditch the Boggers.

Frankly since the economy got slow a while back I've seen a decent amount of bigger sets of Swampers and the like for sale on Craigslist and local 4x4 sites. I bet you could pick up another set pretty easily if you saved for a while.

Trade now and save up for a 2nd set of better offroad tires. Those toyos will be nice on the road but wont be real great at badlands
