What has everybody done when they replaced their seats? My fronts are shot, and I have had zero luck finding a replacement set in the area. Will Suburban or other Chevy buckets fit?

Corbeau Baja SS seats in my k5. Just finished install today:D . They are very comfy and a lot cheaper than Master Craft or PRP (I paid 159 ea for vinyl w/ cloth insert). I had to build the driver side mount and a little angle iron worked great for the tilt forward bracket on the pass side.

If that's not in the budget, suburban seats from the same time frame as your blazer should fit. Trucks had a completely different mounting system.

bad seat & wheel suppliers

whatever you do, stay away from "newsales.com" and "cksales.com" - it's a scam; they took my money and never sent me the product; I sued and got a judgment against them; btw, any lawyers in here who want to domesticate a Va. judgment in California?

Do the seat brackets from Corbeau bolt right up? They have my year blazer, jus wonder. Id like to get some better seats in my '84 K5.

I'll see if I can dig up a digital camera and get you some pics.
On the pass side, I cut 2 pieces of 1.5" angle iron and drilled it. It bolted right up to the seat and the stock tilt bracket.
For the driver's side, I built a tube frame to solid mount the seat to the floor. It looks pretty good but I really need a slider. I'm gonna try out the bolt in sliders when I get some more cash flow! The way the seat sits now it's a little bit of a squeeze under the stearing wheel and over the side bolster(my measuring skills seem to be a bit lacking!), but I wouldn't trade it for any stock seat!!

x2, absolutely love them. I am gonna make a PC chair and video-gaming chair out of these seats when I find the time...

I have the baja SS's as well and love them. I got mine with seat brackets from corbeau. For my application (ordered for my truck) they were not a direct bolt in. The problems I ran into were the rear holes for the passenger seat did not come close to lining up, Had to elongate the front holes on the drivers seat and the seat is not centered with the steering wheel. When I called corbeau, they said modifications may be necessary with the brackets as they are just a universal bracket for all blazers. Not sure why this is since they were ordered for my specific year model but that's what they told me.

I like the seats so much that I am ordering a matching rear bench this winter and installing it. I would pass on the brackets and use your factory brackets with the new seats. No harder to modify and fit correctly.
