Let me start by saying my wife and I are having trouble so I don't know if this is related to that or not.

I bought my wife a 99 monte to drive 60 miles a day that she will not drive cause she likes the 15 mpg 06 crew so much better. The monte has been for sale for quite a while with no real bites until this week (guy offered $2500).

My father inlaw has a 85 blazer thats been converted to full convert and done very nicely. The rest of the drive train is hoe hum.

At one point my mother inlaw wanted to trade the monte for the blazer.

Now we are fixing a oil leak on the blazer in our shop and I can't stop going over and looking at it.

I said something to my wife about the trade and that I could sell my 84. Now she keeps calling me and telling me thats a great idea. Was going to put last years dirt track engine (dart headed 9 to 1 383) in the 84 anyway. Now I would want to swap lifts and axles and new tranny.

You think this is a trick? Whats a stock 84 k10 worth?

I already told you my thoughts. Throw the good parts from the '84 K10 under it, and sell the K10 with the boring Blazer parts under it. I would probably even make the road trip down there on a weekend to help.

That's what I keep telling him, only I keep telling him to put the '84 cab on the K30 since it has A/C.

I like where your head's at. Is that crew cab cab (oddly redundant) an AC cab?

Last night I asked her again and I misunderstood. I thought she would let me trade the monte then I could swap out the red trucks good parts for the blazers and sell the red truck. Nope she wanted me to sell the red truck first. FAIL.
