what to do with a truck that has been sitting for 15 years. pics added

well he said i can have it as long as i get it out by the end of the day. really clean body and 44k on a 91 is pretty good.

i was going to take out the plugs and spray some pb blaster in there. see if i could pump out the gas tank and put some fresh gas in. change the oil. what would be good to put in the gas for the injectors? marvel mystery oil maybe?

any other idea? just want to cover it all before i turn the key

what I did for an engine that was sitting for 6 years is,
pulled the plugs, spray a sh*t load of slick50 in the cylinders. leave the plugs out as I used a ratchet to slowly turn the the engine back and forth till it started to turn a complete revolution. of course changed the oil and filter. I removed the distributor and used my drill and a oil priming tool to turn the oil pump to get oil up all over the internals. then disconnected the fuel line. put a new battery in cranked the engine without the plugs slow at first. then put the plugs back in put some gas in the carb. crank a minute or two , then "VROOOMM". I did not hook the fuel back up till I removed the gas tank and clean out all the old gas.
 
if its orignal 15 year old gas you might plan on new tank and sender unit. i had a parts truck with 6-7 year old gas. it was orange and thicker and stunk so bad you could smell it over 1 week later.

and being a 91 i bet tbi injection and if so the injectors might be locked up with old nasty gas.

i would eat the price of a flat bed tow truck and grab it and go.
 
Slick 50 won't do anything for breaking up any gunk in the cylinder from sitting.. I'd use ATF or Marvel Mystery Oil and let it sit. MM works wonders...
 
I use seafoam's Deep Creep. It's great lube/cleaner. Removes surface rust and makes it basically fall off with minor pressure (cylinders) if their is any. I would personally spray that in each cylinder and of course a little in the tbi which will also help free up anything in the injectors. Disconnect the fuel line up front and see if you can get any fuel to drain out of that line before trying to crank it or anything (make sure no more gunk gets in tbi). From that fuel line you disconnect you'll possibly see the condition of the fuel you're dealing with.

From here do the basic revival items (plugs/cap/rotor/oil/fuel) and give it a go. I would also use seafoam in the new tank of fuel you put in after draining. I've used it on 15 different revival projects with these steps with very good results.

NOTE: After you go to crank the motor over it will smoke and buck/snort for a short bit due to the deep creep getting rid of all the crap you don't want. After running it a short while (maybe few hundred miles) I would change oil again to make sure you have any potential metal and such out. After that drive it like mad.
