I know, I know. You gotta have pics.
I can't even give a good description, but I wanted to know if anyone here is interested enough for me to make the effort.

There is this place I go by every time I go to PC. He has lots of equipment next to some big sheds.
I think he may be in the general construction business, but I'm not sure.

Every so often, he will park some stuff next to the highway with for sale sign on it.
Right now, he has a backhoe, some kind of crane, and a GM or Chevy truck.

I'm usually doing 70 when I go by, so I can't see many details. But the darn thing is starting to bug me.

It does not look quite right.
The front grill is all horizontal bars that look like steel.
It has either GM or Chevrolet in the center. You would think I could remember which, but for the life of me I can't. It is a GM product for sure.

It is an all over mustard yellow color. For some reason, I want to think its ex-military.

If anyone is even remotely interested in it, I will pull in next time and get pics and the phone number.
I'm not curious enough, yet, to check it out.
I certainly have no use for another truck, no matter what brand it is.

But, I know that there are folks here looking for stuff and if someone wants, I will get some info.

I know that there are places here for selling stuff, but I am not selling this, nor will I be putting it up for sale.
I am just giving anyone a heads up and will help if they want me to get the numbers.

Its in NW Fl. so figure travel accordingly if you decide to call the guy and make an offer.

Also, while it will not be rusted out as bad if its from down here, as stuff from up north, we do have the Gulf of Mexico around and if its been on the beach, it might be fairly thin.

Just asking.

If its over the line, sysops, go ahead and move it.

Thanks

Hey, How many fingers am I holding up right now? Betcha never guess how many without a picture:rolleyes:.
They can't be all that way in Florida can they?:haha:

Yeah, I realized after I posted it, I had the wrong title.

What I really wanted to know was if there was enough interest in an unknown truck like that to make it worthwhile to stop and get more info.

Given the economy and the location, I was not sure if there was.

Since if nothing else, folks want to see a picture of it, I will make a special trip into town tomorrow and get some.

Lord, I hope the darn thing is still there. Its been there a couple of weeks, but with my luck someone bought it the day I posted........

it's on your head Ford guy
your head
picture or it never happened
shrinksrus.com <- might check it out

lol, the suspense of a picture to come :)

Alright Fockers. You wanted pics, you gottum.

Turns out its a CUCV.
I guess its the first one I ever saw up close.
I knew it looked strange from the highway.
I couldn't see the body, or I would have been able to give more information.

To tell you the truth, I like the body on that thing. If it were a Ford, and I had some spare cash, I would consider buying it myself.

I know some of you are going to have questions.
What you see is what I got right now.

The phone number is in one of the shots along with what I assume is the price. Although one of the zeros is covered up.

I don't mind doing a little more photographing if someone needs it. Although I cannot guarantee when it will be.
It may be Monday before I get back by there.

I will be going home that way, but don't know if it will be in the daylight.

If you need history details, call the number.

You folks have been nice to me, and I don't mind helping out, but relaying questions and answers is a waste of everyones time. Just go directly to the source.

The location is near enough Panama City Florida as to not make a difference.

The tires look brand new.
Its not rust free, of course. No truck more than a week off the lot is, but it darn near is.
Of course, that lovely paint could hide a multitude of sins.

I did not do the magnet test for bondo.
Nor did I try to crank it, or even get in.

I compressed the heck out of the pics. If you need a less compressed one, let me know, and if you need to see something better in one, I can zoom in on one of the originals and then crop it for you.

I have no stake in this, don't even know who owns it.

BTW it turns out I am not completely nuts. The reason I could not remember if it said GM or Chevrolet on the grill was because it does not say either one.
Its just the bowtie.

Also, if you need more pics, I will do what you want standing up. I am not dressed for crawling around underneath.

M1031 I think?

D60 front, 14FF rear, 4.56's, Detroit in the rear, and the front COULD have a Dana limited slip but probably open.
Should be a 6.2L diesel, TH400...and I think a NP205 with PTO to run stuff in the box.

ahahahahah
I take it all back bud
now ur totally pervin over that truck, takin all those pictures

way to come through
really nice looking truck, I like all the badging that's still there, super cool
D60, 14ff equipped, pretty cool. What was the price? 4500?
