What type front bumpers do you like and what options do you like?

I like the knuckles on the front - use them quite a bit. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Haven't needed the wrap around pieces on the rear (yet).

The front will be going under the torch soon to fit a new M12000 Warn. I hope it can be done /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

2dogs, did you make that front bumper? Any more pics on it? It looks real mean /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

Thanks. All my ideas were from bumpers seen on this site. /forums/images/graemlins/bow.gif /forums/images/graemlins/bow.gif /forums/images/graemlins/bow.gif
My earliest dream was the ORD Jimmy bumper (back when it was a Jimmy /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif)

ooh IC. I'm going to combine a bunch of ideas from different bumpers into one that I will eventually build. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

This is one awesome bumper, I like how tucked up that winch is. Seems the only problem with the prerunner style is how far out the front they stick out, but it has been adressed nicely on this one.

Good job /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

Its hard to tell in the pic though, is there some kind of gaurd rail that sticks out a little farther than the fairlead at the bottom so it isn't the first to hit on something like a stump or rock?

That's a good looking bumper, but a little pricey... It has a ton of detail though /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

I'd put that on my DD and I'm real picky about it /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

Here's mine...

I'm very happy with mine...sure it sticks out a bit...
but with my driving style..it's used to steer the rig in tite places..

At Wellsville...my buds with Jeeps commented how my bumper saved me..
Now they want'm!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Jerry, your sheetmetal looks surprisingly straight in that photo. I don't recall ever seeing your Blazer in that condition. Are you sure that's the same rig? /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

If it sticks out too far it becomes a tree or rock anchor...

[/ QUOTE ]

That is why my rear bumper is flush with the body or tucked in. My front bumper sticks out 2" on each side to help make sure my doors will continue to open and close, as the body is getting so hammered now that soon they won't.

Hit a few trees, then the fenders will be smashed in, and the protection will stick out a few more inches

You've seen my rig, you know I did that a long time ago!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I like the look of the old fashion Warn Winch bumper.

That's the bumper I am going to buy for this tow beast, just so I can tear up anybody that gets in front of me.

i like a "prerunner" that doesn't stick out too far

That is right up my alley....I might add a platform to it so I have a place to stand while working on the engine.

Just a 'little' vertically challenged here /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

I'd think twice about that bumper. The only strong part is the center section that holds the winch. The sides are very weak. They will bend if you try to stand on them. /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif Everyone I know who has one, hates it...
