Erik, erik, erik,
I have seen your Jimmy, so I've got plenty of suggestions. As for legal, forget it. You're not going to be legal with your 8" suspension lift and 36" tires. IN fact you're hardly legal now. If you wish to be legal, I can help you make that happen with 44" tires if you wish. You'll even like how it looks when it's over.
If I were you:
37" BFG KMs. For your use, BFGs like mine are perfect. They're livable on the road, and they work very well. Consider Swamper SSRs or TSL Radials as well. All will work well.
You're going to need new rims anyway. I love your stock aluminum wheels, but they're only 8" wide. Time to ditch those. If you're like me and you like the black steel wheels, that saves cash, and looks good. If not, buy some black ones and I'll trade you my Chrome ones.
Since my stuff's 8 lug, that means a 14 bolt FF and front axle swap. I know where you can get the pair with 4.56s right now for $300. I just found out today about those. They'll need brakes, so add a little cash in there for that. Add a new pair of axle u-joints and wheel bearings and races for it.
That leaves some money to play with. A CV rear shaft would be nice.
A Detroit in the rear would also be nice. I know a guy that can hook you up. His shop is in Batavia, he's a professional, and he can install it for you.
Now you've got 37s, new rims, Detroit, 4.56s, driveshafts, a 14FF and D44, and an awful lot of capability.
Your exhaust is fine. If you want to do the camshaft, I can help you do that too.
We're both young and into 4x4s. Only difference is that I've been in your shoes before. If you let me help you like I told you in August, you'll save a lot of cash and believe me, your truck will be everything you want it to be.
