I have a line on a 454 needs rebuilt would you buy it and build it or stay small block i know its a dumb question the motor threw a rod the guy who has the motor is a trust worthy person you should see the 65 wagon he built with a big block it wont have any brackets or etc

personally I like using a small block for a trail rig. Weight/cost are the main considerations in that. If I want more power, lower gears are the answer, not a super spendy big block. Look at that the rock buggy guys run for engines... not to many 454s in 'em...
