If that's true and these parts we're noting are original, then it's a 1978. Were you originally joking about id'ing the year or did you know when you posted it?

No joke. I'm thinking it is a 78 but it could be a 77 if the rear seat does not collapse. By far this is the worst condition K5 I've ever seen.

It can't be a 77 because the floor drops down right in front of the seat.

I was thinking 78 - 79, looks like you guys narrowed it down to 78 based on the seat belt buckle?

I had faith the collaborative would figure it out together...

It looks like the frame may have been cut at the firewall. It is interesting how a K5 can even get to a point of being in this rough condition.

At first glance it looked like full top and I was going to concur then I saw the door frame.
It's definitely not past 80 ,more likely late 70s because of the plaid seats.
I think heath is right the floor dips down in the rear seat area, so 78 or 79.
My guess is 78
