Im painting my truck gloss army green and was wondering if anyone has any advice on a good cheap brand of spray paint that will look good and last for a few years? Thanks

x2 on the needing something cheap
don't really care how it looks, just something that's strong and maybe dark gray

i just rolled on farm equipment oil based paint.. it actually looks pretty good.. and for $32 a gallon and $15 for the hardner.. it was cheap.. i didnt even use a full gallon... maybe half.. so you could go the quart route....
cheap, durable and if it is meant for tractors to sit outside.. ithink ill be good..

Good>Cheap.

[Krylon Fusion.]

It takes 20 cans to COMPLETELY cover yer truck, fyi. :D

Gawd, I wish I woulda thot of farm equipment paint.
That's the way to go, right derr.

where could someone purchase said farm equipment paint?

yeah yeah, I live in LA county, you think I see any farms?

I'd think to save from the hassle of prepping and spraying it myself, if i wanted something cheap that just looked half way decent, i would take it to one of those $199 paint shops.

just me though i guess :D

about $50 as i bought a can of it too so i could spray the door hinges and back wall....

no home depots in La La Land? They sell Rustoleum in the quart and gallon. Best bang for the buck, buy a cheap HVLP gun from harbor freight and learn as you go. Total investment about 50.00 15.00 for the gun and 35.00 for a gallon of paint. Mix it your self to get the desired color. Yellow and blue make green......:D

I know rustoleum and valspar. hmmm
I may pay a shop to do the prep and primer. I've got a rust hole in the roof and some other ugly areas that need love, but I can't do that where I live nor really want to.
