What's Death Wobble??

Wobble would be caused by too much caster, not too little. Steering stabilizer for you, too. All my front end parts are brand new Dana Perfect Circle and Moog, so if I got the wobble with all new parts (Ball joints, tie rods, drag link) and a dual stabilizer kit fixed it...sounds like that should work.

So with all that being said. with the d60 with 38's how do you fix the problem. We just added crossover steering to the blazer. Brand new steering box also replaced the bushings that pass throught the frame for the springs. And still have the Death Wobble. WTF?????

Put washers under the kingpin springs in the D60 to increase the preload on the springs. Big tires and D60's don't get along alot of times. Make sure your kingpin springs are strong, add the washers, and make sure the little plastic bushing in the knuckles are ok too.

Also a steering box brace is a must with crossover to help make the frame more rigid and help stop death wobble.

If that doesn't work then others may be able to help you more. The last option is hydro assist steering. Most of the time that will kill death wobble for good.

Man reading through this thread I almost fell out of my chair laughing. Just picturing all of us flying down the road and then about meeting our maker. It's only so funny because I've experienced the Death Wobble - I just never knew it was so common it had it's own name! It's hillarious when I think of all the times I spent under the rig pulling on different crap trying to find something loose. Then you jump back in (after finding nothing) and drive it till it wobbles and scares the Sh*& out of you again. Man we're dedicated to these antiquated monsters aren't we! Hillarious!

I was in Moab during EJS and just about ran a stock rubicon over because of the death wobble I got it stopped and he came over and tried to rip me a new one kept calling me a stupid redneck, the death wobble sucked the guy in the jeep amused me
