Whats going on with these crazy prices?

It's not just the people selling these trucks getting the crazy numbers. We bought the 66 for $4500 and State Farm will insure it for $13000 with no appraisal. I was looking at the NADA price on the 73 C10 and the low price is listed at about $7000 with average being $14000.

Instead of a fix and flip, do a turn & burn.

Saw a 1962 Chevy Suburban (2wd) on Facebook Marketplace yesterday, for sale for $1500...looks to have sat under pine trees a decade or more,ad says "did run,has a 283 ,three speed trans--ROUGH condition, but possible rat rod, cool old cruiser,etc..
It's not a panel,it has the side windows, and only two non original front seats..(I'd post a link but cant figure out how to save a facebook marketplace listing)..

The price isn't totally outrageous, but whoever buys it will have their hands full restoring it..but those '60-'66 Suburbans are among the coolest looking trucks GM ever made, and I bet it'll sell fast..won't be surprised if I see it at the swap meet coming up on the 19th & 20th if it doesn't sell before then--someone might just grab it and try to flip it there for a profit too,I've seen some there much worse with prices of $3500 + bucks..just shells too,no engine or tranny..
