Well now that we have re-opened the fender discussion I found a place here that still makes fiberglass 1st gen fenders. From what I have found on a web site they seem to have a 3" bulge to accommodate bigger tires. I have not called them to see if they are even still in business.

I have a set of their glass fenders. They fit up pretty well.

This guys build is right up your alley....1st Gen desert truck build. He bought a set of those Hanneman fenders and they were lousy. Not even based off a Blazer fender from what I saw...based off a 67-68 truck. Almost guaranteed to be a lousy fit.
For the $900/set they are charging I should seriously start thinking about limited production runs of modified steel fenders.
