Assuming you have an all original stock 69 K5 Blazer with under 40K miles and all original paint, upholstery, motor and drivetrain. What kind of money would you expect this kind of truck would command?

Depending on shape 10 grand on up. All depends on what someone is willing to pay. It's the first year so it is a lot harder to find as they were limited in number. Even more now after 45 years. I bought mine beat to hell for 2400 12 years ago.

69 Blazer

Well this is bit of a special case as the truck is more of museum piece than a driver. It's actually reported to have less than 10K miles but the asking price is mid 20's. I assume that is ALL the money.

Unless you can see a VERY complete paper trail to prove its history, I am skeptical that it's a true 10,000 mile survivor.... I've seen too many "dubious" for sale ads claiming 100% originality and low mileage that turned out to be complete frauds.

x 1000.

An early 1st gen in 100% original and unrestored condition is a very, very rare thing.

dang...for once I can actually say I could tell if I saw it....I now know what to look for, what factory pinch welds look like...how to tell if it's been painted from original paint...and if all the numbers match...
but I wouldn't believe that unless I saw it and got real close and personal....

I might believe it more if it was 20 years ago...but for one to survive this long without notice...almost impossible.

If it sat in a museum forty years then maybe it has what is stated. I'd want to see paper trail as well. Also if it sat forty years and didn't
Move or get started and ran once a month or so. I would think all the internals would still kind of rot not from wear but from overall just sitting. Seals would dry out and fall apart as well. Everything would have to be gone through and checked if it was now going to be roadworthy. Unless you are putting it into a museum yourself. Got pics?

69 K5 Blazer

A friend of mine just bought it from an old man who was the one owner. 1969 Blazer K-5, suppose to be the first Blazer with factory warn hubs and warn winch. The owner, Frank Hager owned Belleview Mfg. in Seattle and helped developed the Warn Winch and I researched him and its true. Reported to be #77 Blazer ever built, red with white top, couple small dents and pushed in back bumper. auto, 4wd, warn winch/hubs, original spare tire, back seat has never been sat in and the front buckets are very.

Lol, looks exactly like mine before I tore her apart. :waytogo:

I thought that it didn't have too much rust. I was wrong. :doah:

sure appears to be original, but could have been restored once a long time ago, but...if un-restored and un-tampered with would make it even more valuable....if it were mine I wouldn't be selling it, but if I were I'd be asking a crazy amount...

Wow 77 off the asymbly line. That should help with price too. My 72 is probably 20000 off the line. Never really looked into that.

The wear on the door jams from a driver getting in and out looks far more than 7,000 miles worth. I bet that odometer has been around once, but probably not more.

I see red overspray on the tailgate rubber bumpers, indicating a respray.

Also, the interior panels appear to be the "scroll pattern" which I believe was a CST option, and I'm not sure they were available in 1969.

Overall, I'm not convinced this truck is what it claims to be.

I did a little research and the 69 cst did have scroll pattern. His glovebox pic says it has that trim. 70 and 71 had scroll but also wood grain adds to the top of the panel. 68 had a blank center up top where 69 had either blank or bowtie and gmc logo depending on gmc or chevy. Standard in 69 was the metal panel with no vinyl. So it could be original. Paint could have been touched up as indicated as paint was done before addition of panels and rubber inserts and seals off the line. It's damn nice looking though and as is I'd say with the pics it could easily go for 10-20 grand. Mines on its second speedo so who knows go many times my odo went around before I got It. It's tough to tell. The seats don't look like they have any wear which is good but that door sag tells either it was open and closed a lot or left open a lot if it was a museum peace to Be able to See inside easier.
