just curious what the break-down is on CK5. don't really care for any other reason. i'm using 3/4 runnning gear out of a 78 suburban. full floater out back.

Technically my setup is 3./4ton but its still 6 lug :D

What I mess I made by buying that custom done rear. full floater center, custom cclip eliminated shafts, 12bolt brakes. $700 just so I wouldnt have to convert the front and buy 8 lug steelies...

I'm excited about my d44 front though. I just sent the money order out for Yukon Chromo shafts, and superjoints. 30% stronger than stock d60 shafts and all the clearance of a d44. The guy I'm buying them from said he would blow out warn hubs before a shaft or joint.

I'm gonna guess that its 40% 1ton, 40% 3/4ton, and 20% 1/2ton. This is based on the logic that half the guys who go to upgrade their trucks after looking for advice follow the 3/4ton route and the other half go 1ton. The 20% is people who havent done axle swaps on their junk.

I mean cmon no one puts a 10b rear back in :D:D:D

My K30 obviously has 1 ton gear, and that is the one I use for off roading, but I swapped my 1988 V10 over to 1975 3/4 tons axles (Dana 44, 14bff), because I had them. I would like to find another Dana 60 for my Burban.

currently the stock 10b front and rear, m1009 setup. as things break, or as money becomes available, ill be upgrading to DRW D60 up front, and DRW 14bff with SRW hubs out back to run H1 beadlocks without spacers.

My d44 and 14 bolt FF came out of a 3/4 ton, but couldnt everyone with the 14 bolt ff say they have a 1 ton rear? I know spring perches are in different places but internally they are the exact same right?

ya i run all 1ton stuff minus the 92 caprice. still 1/2 ton 10 bolt rear. :haha:

What's under my truck?

Mostly my driveway, hardly ever dirt. :doah:

Actually 14BFF rear, with 3/4T 10B front (soon to be replaced by the D60 I'm building).

Caprice has an 8.5 10b in it?

If not haha its not even half ton :D

Yeah, the Caprice has a 8.5" ring gear, it also has the larger wheel bolt pattern, the same as a two wheel drive half ton pickup.

What what?
What did you pay for the shafts and joints to your door?
